At Green + Klooster Dental Health and Aesthetics, we extend comprehensive dental care for the entire family. As your dental health team, we take our role very seriously. When it comes to precise diagnosis and treatment, we strive to offer our patients the best technology science has devised. That is why we have equipped our office with some of the finest dental technologies available today. From computer imaging to the intra-oral camera to microabrasion, we are specialized in the skills necessary to restore and magnify your smile.

Through the use of a dental laser, we are able to distinguish between stains and decay before the decay has damaged enough of the tooth to show up on an x-ray or become sticky. The beauty of early detection is that we are able to place a very conservative restoration in the tooth. The strength of the tooth is then fortified so that it will provide years of comfort and security.

Steve Green, DDS

Prior to entering dental school in 1980, Dr. Steve Green enjoyed a successful career in basketball. He was a two-time All-American at Indiana University and was Hall of Fame Coach Bob Knight’s first recruit at IU. Dr. Green was a two-time captain of those teams as well as leading scorer and MVP. The 1975 team finished the regular season 29-0 and #1 in the nation. He played professionally for the Utah Stars (ABA), St. Louis Spirits (ABA), and the Indiana Pacers (NBA). After playing in Italy for one year, he attended Dental School at Indiana University and graduated in 1984. 

Dr. Green has been practicing dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana since 1984. In addition to the memberships listed in Our Expertise section, he is a board member for the Indiana Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped (IFDH) and provides dentistry through their donated dental services program. He has been active with many community organizations and is presently serving as a board member for the ARC of Indiana, an advocacy group for people with developmental disabilities. Dr. Green has enjoyed public speaking for a number of years and combines his love and passion for dentistry and sports in his presentations to all types of organizations. Married with three children, Dr. Green leads an extremely active life and is dedicated to serving you.

John Klooster, DDS

John Klooster, DDS graduated from Indiana University, School of Dentistry in 1988 and has been practicing dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana with Dr. Steve Green since 1993. Born and raised in Indiana, Dr. John Klooster is pleased to be able to provide exceptional dentistry for you in his home state. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Indiana Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society. With special expertise in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dentistry, Dr. Klooster is precise and creative in determining dental solutions for your distinct restorative needs.

Along with his dedication to providing quality dentistry, Dr. Klooster is an ardent sports enthusiast with a genuine passion for health and fitness. He has developed a keen interest in competitive water-skiing and excels at this sport. Married and father of two, Dr. Klooster enjoys being remarkably active and involved in his local Community. He takes pleasure in presenting dental health topics to various Community organizations, especially within the schools, and helping others obtain his enthusiasm for overall health and fitness. This fervor is evident by his outright determination to help you reach and achieve your highest potential in dental health.

Business Team

The first voice you will hear when you call our office and the first person to greet you when you visit us is a member of our Business Team. Our front office staff coordinate the appointment schedules for each of the doctors and dental hygienists. They also handle any insurance benefits you may have from verification to filing and follow-up. We are sure you will find them very helpful with any accounting questions, emergencies that may arise, and other concerns that you would like to discuss. 

At your very first appointment with Dr. Green or Dr. Klooster, you will meet with one of our practice coordinators. In addition to introducing new patients into the practice, the practice coordinators are involved in treatment planning with the doctors and in consulting with patients regarding their care. Treatment plans and financial arrangements are among the responsibilities they share. Our coordinators have many years experience in meeting patient needs as well as in practice management. Their genuine caring and exceptional communication skills make them an invaluable asset to the practice.

Dental Hygienists & Assistants

Each of the doctors has specific dental hygienists and dental assistants assigned to them to help with the care of their patients. With their assistance, the procedures and appointments in the office run much more smoothly and on a timely basis.

The dental assistants are responsible for all of the clinical supplies that are necessary to take care of our patients. They are also accountable for the patient education necessary when patients are having specific procedures done. The ideal goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If you would like the benefit of some relaxation in our office, be sure to ask one of the dental assistants about our calming measures which include nitrous oxide (laughing gas), stereo headphones, CDs, or DVDs. Along with this, our dental assistants are knowledgeable about the cosmetic whitening program in our office and act as a hands-on assistant during clinical procedures. 

We are extremely fortunate to have a number of highly experienced dental hygienists. Each of the dental hygienists has over 15 years of experience as periodontal therapists. A regular visit with your hygienist is key to lifelong oral health. At each visit, they will closely monitor and maintain your periodontal health. Our hygienists are dedicated to continuing education, believing it is fundamental to offering our patients the latest techniques for home care and in-office treatment. Our hygiene department is unmatched for gentleness and thoroughness!
